About Laura

I benefited from growing up around several generations of people. My great-grandmother was alive until I was 15, and I grew up listening to her stories, and the stories of my grandmother, grandfather, and great-aunts and uncles. I think the past is vital to the future so I have always loved learning from my elders. In high school I volunteered at a nursing home as a reader and I did light personal shopping for assisted-living residents. The hardest thing I had to deal with was my grandmother's struggle with Alzheimer's because every day she was a little more distant. I would love to help senior citizens by doing similar work, reading, housekeeping, meal preparations, errands, etc.
