About Laura

I've always loved children, my first job was babysitting at 12 and my second job was working my church's preschool. Those jobs only fanned the flame in my heart and at 21 years old, I moved to Quito, Ecuador for 9 months to work at a special needs (and normal needs too) orphanage called For His Children. While there, I submersed myself into the culture and learned how to speak and read/write in Spanish. I was lucky enough to love on the babies before their forever family adopted them. At the age of 25 I led a group of 5 to Thailand to go and work with the children involved in human trafficking over there. I was there for 6 months and learned to speak and read/write in Thai as well. I previously worked for a Crosswalk Preschool and Kings Row Community Life Center and have awesome references! I also have a Washoe County Sheriff's Work Permit Card for childcare. As well, I'm am currently taking classes from the Children's Cabinet and Nevada Registry.
