Hello to families searching for a tutor, My name is Laura and I am currently a special education teacher for the Auburn Washburn school district. I taught vocal music for 15 years and then switched to special education about seven years ago. I have been trained on the Wilson reading system, which is the best curriculum for helping students with dyslexia. Even kids without dyslexia, the Wilson reading system is one of the best. Please note that a standard Wilson lesson runs 45 minutes. I will charge $30 for that 45 minutes. If you would prefer your child to receive a full hour, I would request $45 please. School was always very important to me! I had straight A's in high school, graduated with honors from KU and then graduated with high honors from Fort Hays State University. I live just west of Auburn and would like to try to stay in the area. However, I am willing to drive to the Montana neighborhood and possibly tutor some of my current students there.
