About Laura

I am honest, creative, and caring. I feel that as people age they need help with various things, but still deserve respect, and even though the memory can fade or the physical abilities change, showing compassion is key to a happy older life that can still be lived with dignity despite these changes. They would still like companionship, or to share their stories with, or sometimes to just have someone read to them from a favorite book if their eyesight has changed, or helping with basic tasks. I'm looking for a job that is honest, caring, and respectful for both parties. I have experience caring for: Dementia, cancer care, and other physical/neurological disorders. In my spare time, I like to read and spend time with my family. I also enjoy antique shopping and going to museums. One thing you should know about me is that I'm very compassionate, observant, and take my professional and personal integrity seriously. My skills include emergency, safety precautions, and CPR.
