I interviewed and hired Laura, hopeful that she might be a lasting addition to our household. During a conversation, it came up that we had opposing political affiliations. At no point was I ever condescending or rude in any way. The day before she was to start , she sent me a text saying that she wouldn't be taking the job because she "couldn't work for a lefty nut job". I did talk about how I'd campaigned for the democrat running in our district, and how I followed the current events, again , at no point was I ever snarky or impolite . Just thought you should know .
