About Laura

I was a stay at home mom with twin girls. My girls are now juniors in high school, so with more time on my hands during the day looking to work for a family as a babysitter or nanny. Prior to the birth of my daughters, I worked as a federal employee in an office setting. I was a room parent for my daughters' class during grade school and junior high. I led an after school girls club at our school for 4 years. I worked as an after school care supervisor for 5 years. I am a 6-year volunteer with the U of I Extension 4-H in Kendall county and am a leader of a 4-H club. I am also used to pets as we have house dogs, cats, rabbits, and fish. I have an Illinois Paraprofessional Educator License, and have been background checked and fingerprinted with the Grundy/Kendall Regional Board of Education. I was very hands-on with my kids growing up, reading, craft-making, games, and educational activities. Both my kids have food allergies and asthma, so I am trained on Epipens and inhalers.
