About Laura

I just graduated with my degree in occupational therapy and I am looking for a short term care position while my OT license processes. I have experience working with older adults in the hospital setting with diagnoses of stroke, dementia/Alzheimer's, amputee, hip fractures, and many more. I'd describe my personality as proactive, extroverted, and organized. I like caring for seniors because they often have a lot of wisdom and fun stories to pass down to younger generations. I started caring for seniors when I was a junior in college. I first worked at a nursing home as a dietary aide. Then when I pursued my OT education I completed my clinical fieldwork in two hospitals settings where I worked with adults/older adults on therapeutic exercises, ADLs such as showering, toileting, and dressing. One thing you should know about me is that I have my degree in OT. My skills include helping with ADLs, meal prep, medication management, and tracking vitals.
