I have been given an amazing opportunity to use my gifts working with children, over the last 30 years. I love providing optimal growth and development opportunities to children, to fit their individual learning styles. It is a joy to provide support to families and lessen their daily stress. I began as an Early Childhood Educator, as the Lead teacher in Therapeutic preschool at the CHKC. I believe each child is unique and enjoy opening up the world to each one by exploring outside, creating through art, the richness of books and feeling safe and secure. Nannying has given me the opportunity to care for children from infancy through their beginning grade school and beyond. Helping children make connections is amazing. I've taught every age range possible and would love to share my experience. The past 19 years I have been a nanny for a young boy with autism, providing in home therapy out in the real world. Laura is a wonderful nanny, and has been working with us part-time for 2.75 years. She has experience with kids of all ages and needs. She is very kind, calm, and creative. She researches and prepares age appropriate craft/art/learning activities with my 5 yo and 3 yo, and takes them to zoo, butterfly pavilion, parks, etc. Our kids love her, and we trust her. She feeds them lunch, and gets my youngest down for a nap. Laura is vaccinated, was accommodating with masks when needed, and updates her child CPR training annually. We are no longer needing her for weekday morning hours with the start of the school year, and we hope to continue seeing her weekly for date night and weekend help.
