About Laura

I have many years of caregiving experience. I was the live in caregiver for both of my parents for 10 years. My Father passed at 96 years old with home hospice care provided by me. My Mother passed seven years later, also at 96 with my home hospice care. My mother lived with dementia for several years before her passing, so I am comfortable and understanding with dementia care. I also cared for my sister who was disabled from a stroke for several months, providing in-home hospice care, before she passed. I have two years of professional experience with an agency. My duties ranged from companion care to advanced dementia care. I am currently a private caregiver for a 96-year-old woman with dementia and I have been with her for two years. I pride myself on my empathy, patience, and respect for my senior clients. Having hired caregivers in the past, and now being a professional caregiver, I understand the trust that is placed upon those that we choose to care for our loved ones.
