About Laura

Hello! I'm Laura, an AMS-certified Montessori preschool educator with over 20 years of childcare experience as both a mother and educator. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have experience caring for children from infancy through school age. I raised and homeschooled all three of my children and currently work as a preschool teacher. As a nanny, I will bring a calm, nurturing presence while creating engaging, age-appropriate activities that support each child's development and interests. My approach is warm, patient, and relationship-based, drawing from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and play-based philosophies. I believe in firm but kind guidance, freedom within clear boundaries, and fostering independence and confidence without sacrificing warmth. I enjoy reading, process art, nature exploration, sensory play, and hands-on learning that helps children grow into capable, caring individuals.
