About Laura Michelle

I started working with kids when I was 9 years old. I was a mother's helper over the summer for a family with triplets (two boys and a girl). I'm still very close to that family, the kids are 19 and in college now. From there I became very interested in child development and got my early childhood development certificate in high school. In my spare time, I like to walk my dogs, go for hikes, make a delicious home cooked meal, and write or photograph. I also enjoy singing, I studied vocal performance for three years before I studied communication in college. One thing you should know about me is my adaptability. Life with kids can be very unpredictable: plans change, kids have a meltdown or a bad day, events or a practice gets cancelled. I'm great at coming up with field trip ideas, creating a fun game or using a limited budget for a great craft project. I am interested in engaging children with curiosity and imagination. My skills include integrity, silliness, and honesty.
