About Laura Marie

Laura worked with my elderly aunt who lived alone, for 10 months in NYC. Laura was invaluable to my aunt, like a right hand to her. Days consisted of various things, including going to doctor's appointments, physical therapy, picking up medication, checking to see that my aunt took her medicines, doing laundry, changing bedding, light housekeeping, helping with phone calls, and helping to manage issues in the apartment when they arose by communicating with the building supervisor and doormen. As my aunt is physically able-bodied, Laura arranged many daytime activities such as attending museums, going for walks, shopping and such. She had many creative ideas as well to keep my aunt occupied during poor weather days, for example using adult coloring books. Laura speaks very clearly and audibly, which also added to her helpfulness! And added bonus is she knows how to cut and color hair, which my aunt appreciated as well. We are thankful for all she did to help my aunt.
