I worked as a Director of a Child Development Center. I was a substitute teacher at a Public School. I was a substitute teacher in all Elementary grades and Music, PE Assistant, Special Education Assistant, Kindergarten Assistant, Security Assistant, and Library Media Assistant. I was a substitute/Aftercare Teacher at a Preschool. I was a substitute teacher for 3 to 5-year-olds. I had hand-picked to plan and operate aftercare program including preparing lesson plans and supervising 10 to 13, 3 to 5-year-olds. I provided complete infant care for many newborns. This is just the minimum. I have also had many volunteer jobs working with children.

We hired Laura during a very difficult time while living in a rental house for 8 months while our house was under construction. We have three children under the age of 5. Laura managed all three children well. She was punctual, dependable and flexible. We are very grateful for the care that she provided.

I really felt comfortable leaving my 3 month old with Laura and already have multiple plans and dates lined up for her to watch my son again.  We have 2 rambunctious dogs that she adored and handled really well - with the baby - even though we told her we were fine leaving them kenneled.  So dealing with cooped up dogs was one less thing to worry about since she was fine letting them out.  Laura is super friendly, has a great can-do attitude, is affectionate with my son, and obviously super well trained and competent.  I get that different parents have different styles and preferences for how they'd like sitters to interact with their kids and Laura was a great fit for us.  I'd recommend her in a heartbeat, hands down.  

I really liked Laura on the phone. Seemed like it would be perfect. Had someone let me know this ahead of time I would not have done an in person interview so I'm hoping to save you all some time and maybe it isn't a big deal to you but to me it is a hard no. Laura was touching and kissing my baby and the next thing I knew she had her fingers in his mouth. This was more than inappropriate to me and (my husband being the obviously guy he is continued with the conversation despite my obvious shutting down). We will not be hiring Laura. I'm sad because it truly seemed perfect but his is a hard no for me. Hope it helps others and maybe it doesn't bother the next person 

Laura is very experienced and qualified. She took care of my two children (ages 4 and 2) after I started going back to work. She is friendly, very communicative, and reliable. Also, she had no problem dropping off and picking up from preschool. She took the kids to the zoo, the pool, the library, the aquarium, and more. My kids' preschool schedule recently changed, so we we will no longer need her. But I absolutely trust her with my kids.

We love Miss Laura! We've been using Laura for about 1.5-2 years now. We have a 4 yr old boy and he loves it when Laura comes over. Having a child that can give feedback is really helpful. While he's always sad that he can't go with us to where ever we're going, he's never upset that she's coming over. He always has a good time and never has anything bad to say. Laura is always very punctual, has her own transportation and doesn't mind if you text or call to check in from time to time. We try to give her as much notice as possible but she has been able to sit for us with a few days notice. Best of all she's a mother herself to a college student so she has plenty of experience but is also long enough removed from having little ones that she appreciates their antics and childish ways while also remaining firm and consistent. I know my son isn't going to get away with bad behavior with her but his goofiness and playfulness are appreciated by her.

Laura has watched our daughter once a week since she was 3 months old; she is currently 11 months and will be starting daycare when she turns one. Laura has been reliable, trustworthy, and very loving to our daughter (and our pets!). I have been completely confident and comfortable knowing Laura was watching our daughter when I was at work. She clearly has lots of experience and knew how to care for our daughter on her sick, well, happy, and fussy days. Our daughter was always well-rested, well-fed, and happy when I returned home from work, which is greatly appreciated. We were so lucky to have found Laura and will be sad to see her go!


Laura is a wonderful caregiver. My two sons liked her from the very beginning, and most of all we appreciated her extreme reliability, correctness, punctuality and professionalism with our children. I will definitely continue calling her even now that the main job is over, she is the caregiver every mom and dad would want to have for her children! Thank you Laura !!

Laura (or "Lza" as my son called her) cared for my son 2-3 full days per week from the time he was 3 months old until 3 1/2 years old. I cut back my hours (and pay) significantly following the birth of our second child, which is the only reason that she is no longer with us on a weekly basis. She was wonderful with my son and he loves her very much. As an infant, she kept a daily log of his feedings, naps, diaper changes, etc., which was extremely helpful. She was great at calming him and getting him to nap on a regular schedule. She kept me well informed about his day and called me immediately if he ever had a fever, cough, etc. Though, she also kept him while he was sick on several occasions and he felt comfortable in her care. She was always in time, flexible with our schedules, and kept him for date nights in several occasions. She nurtured him and engaged him with silly faces and songs. Once he was older, she took him to the zoo, library, aquarium, out to lunch, to the pool, etc. We always felt he was safe and loved in her care. Laura's next "baby" is lucky - we will miss seeing her every week!
