About Laura

I have worked with children of all ages starting with my very first job. I am currently looking for a family to start working with. I spent 4 years working at an early childhood special education classroom, working with 3-5-year-olds with autism and other special needs. Before that, I worked with 8 and 9-year-old girls helping them get through virtual school. What a challenge for all of us! :) I helped them with the schooling needs but also transportation and advanced childcare duties. One of the girls is autistic and so I spent a lot of time helping her with everything from toileting, socialization and of course, the educational needs. I am also registered as her Personal Support Worker through the county. Whenever I tried to take a different career path in life, I kept coming back to the children. I would also really love to get back to working with kids in their own homes. I have my own car and absolutely love pets! (Unless it was a snake or tarantula!!)
