About Laura

I am currently a double major in Art and Psychology at the University of Dallas. I'd describe my personality as calm, creative, and hardworking. My skills include defusing tense situations, redirecting kids attention, and engaging their imagination through playing and storytelling. I like working with kids because their concept of the world and how to be in the world is always expanding. It is a joy to witness and guide them through this process. One thing you should know about me is that I believe the most valuable thing to teach a child is that they are unconditionally loved by God and their parents. As a care taker it is my priority to model and encourage good behavior to reaffirm that unconditional love. While I am exploring other job opportunities, I'm looking for a summer job working with kids to help me decide if I want to pursue studying child psychology or not. Ideally this would be a recurring part time situation through the weekdays.
