About Laura

I'd describe my personality as somewhat quiet, yet engaging. I am caring and empathetic. I love to hear other peoples stories about their lives and what they have learned from their experiences. I love to be outdoors and in nature. Nature prompts me to be more grateful. I like caring for seniors because I had a wonderful grandmother! She was my sanctuary. I came from a large family, in the middle of 5 brothers no sisters, so I felt lonely at times. My nana gave me all the attention in the world. I knew so much about her and when she passed, I felt so close to her. She made me love being around older folks and learning from them. Presently, I am in my 19th year as a mental health therapist. I run my own business called Peace of Mind Therapy. I am a Certified Relationship Coach, Certified End of Life Doula, and hold a Doctor of Ministry degree in Formational Counseling. I am 61 years old. I am married to my best friend, Andrew. We recently celebrated 39 years of marriage.
