About Laura

I have had a large amount of experience caring for children. When I was 9 years old, I started volunteering at the public library, and I worked in the children's section and I helped play with the children on Thursday nights. We had children ranging from infants to about 10 years old, and I helped to entertain them, as well as make sure they were supervised when playing with glue, scissors, and other crafts. I participated in this roughly 60 hours a year for 7 years, until I was 16 and I left to attend University, which I am now a junior as a Communication Studies major. I additionally have experience teaching music to children and adults, ages 4-80, which I was at for 5 years. I taught piano, violin, and I also was assistant Musical Director for their Youth's Choir and Children's String Ensemble. I also stopped this when I was 16 to attend college. I now teach high school and elementary school-aged children piano, violin, mathematics, and English, and I have contacts for references. I am passing the exam to become First Aid and CPR certified in the second week of December. I love to work with children of all ages!
