Hello! My name is Laura and I have many years of experience taking care of children. I have worked as a nanny for a couple of families with young children. I have also temporarily assisted families with both care and transportation. I provided full-time care for my nephew from September 2016 until March 2018. I also volunteered working with 1-yr. old children in a Sunday School setting, on a rotating schedule, for over 10 years. I am a mom myself - with a beautiful daughter, 23, and a handsome, hard-working 27-year-old son! Additionally, I am an aunt who has babysat nieces and nephews. I am mature, responsible, dependable, patient, caring, loving and enjoy teaching kids. I like to laugh, play and be silly with kids, all the while teaching them - both socially and academically. Laura was our full-time nanny for one year, taking care of our son from age two to three. She came into our home as we were transitioning to in-home care during the pandemic and played a crucial role as we sought to bring a sense of normalcy into our lives. We were both working from home while Laura was in our house, giving us great visibility into her approach with our son. Laura was extremely communicative, prompt, and an easy person to have in our house. She was instrumental in growing our son's vocabulary and conversational skills; learning the ABC's/numbers, and learning through puzzles/imaginary play/reading. She dealt with the toddler transitions (crib to bed, potty training, increasing tantrums, and accelerating independence) with grace and calm. She proactively noticed and took care of cleaning tasks; kept our son's spaces clean and organized; and she often prepared dinner for the family in addition to taking care of our son's food needs throughout the day.
