About Laura

Hi! I'm Laura, a caregiver with experience supporting children ages 9 months to 9 years across families of diverse backgrounds in NYC. I hold a Master's in International Education from Columbia University and previously interned with Sesame Workshop. I like working with kids because they help you stay fully in the present and allow you to stay curious. I'm looking for a job that is ideally full-time with a supportive and communicative family. I started working with kids when I was 15 at a day camp and a few years later I was an au pair for a summer in Italy. In my spare time, I like to go to the New York Botanical Garden, and play with my rescue cat, Smokey. One thing you should know about me is that I like to let children guide playtime. I am great at getting kids to sit down and eat! I am also skilled at getting them down for a nap.
