About Laura

I'm a mom of two wonderful grown sons and a very proud grandmother. I've always loved children and enjoy the energy, curiosity, and fun they bring. Since my grandchildren live out of state, I thought this could be a wonderful opportunity to spend more time with children while also providing the kind of dependable support that can be so valuable to busy families. I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and have spent much of my career working with and supporting people. I currently own a career coaching business working primarily with young adults. As a parent, I also have firsthand experience caring for a child with a peanut allergy and other health concerns, so I understand how important it is for parents to know that a caregiver will listen carefully and take their child's individual needs seriously. I'm primarily looking for occasional or part-time opportunities and would love to become a trusted extra set of hands for a local family.
