About Laura

Hi! My name is Laurie and I live in Galveston. I have been working with children most of my life. I started babysitting in my neighborhood in my pre-teen years. I went on to nanny for a family three of my four years in college. After I graduated, I started my family. I then owned and operated a licensed in home daycare for children six weeks to 12 years old, for over 10 years. I have been with Care. com for over two years and currently work part time as a nanny for a family with two preschoolers. I have a BA in Child Psychology. I am certified in First Aid/CPR and am vaccinated for COVID. I am also a non-smoker. I have my own transportation and am comfortable around pets. I don't mind helping out with light housekeeping, preparing meals and transporting children to activities. I am caring, compassionate and dedicated to the families I work with. If you think I might be a good fit for your family I would love to hear from you!
