The regular caregiver for my MIL had to take sudden extensive leave to care for her mother. Laura was a LIFESAVER at a very challenging time. She was quick to learn my Mil's routine, willing to help with kitchen cleanup and very easy to communicate with. What we loved most about Laura was how kindly she cared for my 85 year-old MIL who suffered a stroke 2.5 years ago. Even though she was only with us for a few weeks, Laura took her time and genuinely desired to get to know my MIL and our family (complete with wild 4 year old twins and a six year old) well. My MIL was very grateful for the thoughtfulness and care Laura demonstrated when walking with her, assisting with toileting, showering, dressing and other self care. Laura's calm demeanor and extensive patience was such a welcome energy in our very busy and rambunctious home. Despite our regular caregiver coming back we look forward to working with Laura again if/when the need arises.
