Elderly adults deserve compassionate caregiving. Senior medical issues require patience and understanding, which I've heard can be difficult to find. It helps to know your family member is being taken care of w/ kindness & respect. Put your mind at ease knowing they're comfortable and safe when you can't be there. Crystallized memories are easier for our brains to access with sensory cues like music & familiar flavors/ smells. I've seen how these things can bring elderly people back to who they are with joyful vibrant energy, so that's something I enjoy offering. Disclosure: I am not trained or licensed for medical assistance tasks, as I am not a nurse. However, I'm qualified to offer companionship. They don't have to go through this alone, and neither do you.
