About Laura

I'd describe my personality as friendly, caring and honest. I like working with kids because they are impressionable, impactful and fun to be around. I'm looking to work a few more hours/week by tutoring. I like to feel that I make a difference by helping students who need extra support. I started working with kids when while subbing at various school districts in 2014. In my spare time, I like to swim, walk and read. I enjoy participating in a monthly book club and spending time with my family. One thing you should know about me is that I love working with students and seeing them learn and feel more confident in their work. It's very gratifying to see and hear the positive feedback from the students. My tutoring skills include being personable, adaptable to the student needs and engaging.
