About Lara

I started working with kids 13 years ago. My first babysitting role was in middle school watching a 5-year-old. Since then, throughout high school and college, I have babysat for over 10 families whose children ranged in age from 6 months old to 13-years-old. Most recently, over the last year while completing graduate school, I worked as a soccer coach supervising individual and group practices for children ages 2-13 years old. In my spare time, I like to spend time outdoors, see my friends, and learn new recipes to bake and cook! My top three child care skills include enthusiasm, patience, and empathy. I aspire to approach everything I do with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, excited for whatever activity we are going to engage in. More importantly, however, I maintain patience and empathy, aiming to understand and meet children where they are at both developmentally and emotionally.
