I have previous experiences in child, adult and senior care. I've worked as a Direct Support Specialist for about a year, caring for people with chronic conditions, illnesses, and handicaps to assist them with daily life; shopping, cleaning, or just spending time with them! Anything to help make peoples days better and easier. I am patient, calm, compassionate, and empathetic. I understand the importance of adapting to changing routines and unexpected challenges. I prioritize building connections with care recipients by understanding their preferences and personal history. I'm comfortable with pets. I'm happy to assist with errands, shopping, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medical management. I always follow the family's preferred method of communication regarding their loved one's well-being or any concerns. I have experience with de escalation and calming techniques like DBT skills which I'm well versed in.
