About Lanie

I'm currently a neuroscience student at BYU and genuinely love working with children. I recently returned from serving a mission where I spent a lot of time teaching, mentoring, and working closely with families and kids from many different backgrounds. I also have experience teaching tennis lessons and volunteering weekly with children, so creating a fun, positive, and safe environment comes very naturally to me. I would describe myself as patient, dependable, energetic, and very hands-on. I love keeping kids engaged through games, outdoor activities, crafts, sports, and imaginative play rather than relying heavily on screens. I'm also happy to help with light housekeeping, meal prep, routines, and making daily life easier for parents. Building trust with families is very important to me, and I always want parents to feel confident their children are being genuinely cared for.
