About Laney

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. With five years of experience, I specialize in Math, English, Science, History, and Art, while also providing dedicated support for test preparation, study skills, and special education. I believe every student possesses unique potential, and I focus on building confidence rather than simple memorization. By observing how you interact with new material, I tailor my approach using visual aids, hands-on activities, or discussions to suit your needs. When concepts become difficult, I break them into manageable steps and connect them to your personal interests to keep you engaged. I prioritize open communication with families to ensure we are always working toward your goals. Nothing compares to the joy of witnessing your "aha!" moment when a new skill finally clicks. I look forward to supporting your learning journey.
