About Laney

I'd describe my personality as imaginative, friendly, and patient. I like working with kids because I have a passion for children's growth and development. I think children have so much to offer the world and I love to foster that creativity and youthfulness. I have been working with kids my whole life. I have three younger brothers, worked as camp counselors, and began babysitting for families in my neighborhood at age 14. I have my undergraduate degree in human development and family science and I used my degree to work in children's advocacy centers for that last 2. 5 years. I worked directly with children of all ages who had experienced trauma and created a safe space for play and emotions. I am currently a social work graduate student! In my spare time I like to hang out with friends and family, do crafts, go thrifting, and go on walks. My skills include trauma informed care, creativity and imaginative play, and healthy boundaries. I am also CPR certified!
