Children with special needs are, first of all, children. They have the same basic needs as other children. They are curious about their world. They love trips to the park, picture books, toys, and fun games and activities. They want to learn. Children with special needs should be given activities be given activities which they are able to do. They need to experience success and learn how to deal with failures. These children may require special care based on their unique needs, but should not be treated as if they are different. I too, as they call is a special needs child because I, myself, have been diagnosed with ADHD. So I have first-hand experience what it's like to be in that position and not having someone to help. That is why I love children and most defiantly helping those who are just like me.
