About Laini

I like working with kids because I enjoy being around their spirit. I love playing make believe and learning about their lives, the lack of filter kids are famously (and infamously) known for, and finding the balance between guiding them and supporting them as they guide me. I'm looking for a job where I can encourage active play and spend quality time with whoever I am looking after. I started working with kids when I was 11 and Since then I have been babysitting anywhere from 5-13-year-olds; professionally, I have been a camp counselor for incoming 6th graders and a dance teacher for 3-5-year-olds (Princess Party and Hip Hop Adventures!) I'm an actress and playwright going into my final year at NYU Tisch, graduating a semester early with a minor in Child Adolescent Mental Health Studies. I love be outside as much as possible, spend quality time with my roommates and friends, pet as many dogs and I come across around the city, and chat with friendly faces around my neighborhood.
