Hi! My name is Laikyn, and I absolutely love working with kids! I have experience babysitting for multiple families, and I'm also a big sister to several siblings, so I'm very comfortable caring for children of different ages and personalities. This summer, I had the opportunity to work at a church summer camp, where I spent lots of time caring for and connecting with kids. I'm also First Aid and CPR certified. I'm currently working toward becoming a pediatric occupational therapist, so working with children is something I'm really passionate about. I also have experience volunteering with children with special needs, which has taught me so much about patience, compassion, and making every child feel included and supported. I truly love getting to know kids, keeping them safe, and creating a fun and comfortable environment for them!

No Call/No Show. Do not hire. There seems to be a real problem with “Nannies” on Care.com booking interviews and then flaking. This has now happened THREE TIMES. Laikyn being the second. We had an appointment for her to interview 9/1/26 at 5pm. I wrote her to confirm at 2:30pm. She happily confirmed. I also requested that she text/call when she was on her way. 5pm came and went. I texted her to make sure she was okay. She replied, “Hey, sorry I had to pick my sister up from gymnastics at 4:30 because my mom needed me too. I wrote a message. I don’t know why It did not Send.” This was a message on Care.com. She never texted or call either my wife, nor I. I asked her what her ETA was and if she could be here by 6pm. She replied, “No, I meant that I need to reschedule.” I declined. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. HUGE waste of time.
