About Kyra

I am a dedicated educator with over 12 years of experience working with children across a wide range of ages and developmental stages. For the past eight years, I have been an English teacher and currently serve as the Head of the English Department at my middle school in Elk Grove. I hold a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and have extensive experience teaching reading, writing, grammar, literary analysis, and critical thinking skills. Prior to becoming a classroom teacher, I worked as a nanny for seven years, caring for children from newborns through middle school age. Working closely with children of different ages has helped me grow my skill set in and out of the classroom. My combined background in education and childcare has given me a deep understanding of how children learn and grow. I am passionate about helping children and am confident in my abilities to help care for or educate your child!
