About Kyra

I've been caring for children since I was 12 years old, starting with helping care for my younger siblings and cousins, which built a strong foundation of responsibility, patience, and attentiveness early on. As I grew older, I continued working with children in structured settings. In high school, I served as a peer mentor to elementary-aged students, supporting their academic and social development. I was also a mentor for Black girls in STEM, where I encouraged confidence, curiosity, and learning in a supportive environment. In college, I previously hosted "Experiment Fridays" at Fisk University for children ages 2-5, facilitating play-based learning and engagement. In addition to my childcare experience, I am a full-spectrum doula and CPR certified, which strengthens my ability to support infants, stay calm in high-pressure situations, and communicate effectively with families. I genuinely enjoy creating safe, nurturing, and joyful environments where children can grow and thrive.
