Hello, my name is Kyra. I have 7 years of experience with children. I have experience as a former Teacher at Stepping Stone Private Preschool. I taught a classroom of 11-12 2-year-olds. In my classroom we learned through play and positive reinforcement. I understand the importance of making children feel safe, cared for, and supported while teaching them valuable lessons of being helpful, considerate, kind, curious, and self-understanding. Once I left the company, I became a nanny for the following 5 years. I love taking kiddos on adventures, making memories and having cool experiences with them! Kyra looked after our two boys for 3 years, from ages 1yrs to 4yrs and our eldest from 3yrs to 7yrs. She had her own vehicle and arrived at 830 sharp every day, looking after them until 530pm. She worked through the day with them as the pandemic raged to keep them entertained, and educated. She read to them, worked with them, played with them and our boys genuinely love her. She was extremely engaged with our boys wasn't afraid to get down to them on their level and get into their imagination land. From fort building to catching pokemon in the neighborhood Kyra did it. She made meals for them and took them on outings, some we directed her, others she thought of herself. We gave her a credit card to use to pay for those excursions and she never abused the privilege. When she first started looking after the boys she kept a written journal of the day so we could see what they were up to and so we could offer nudges about what we liked. Hiring her was a great decision.
