About Kya

Hi! My name is Kya, I'm 23 and currently studying Music Education. I have professional caregiving and teaching experience through The Saint Joseph's Center of Dunmore and Bach to Rock. At St. Joe's, I cared for people of all ages with severe physical and intellectual disabilities, assisting with daily care, medications, meals, hygiene, and bedtime routines. At Bach to Rock, I teach music to children of different ages, personalities, abilities, and learning styles, strengthening my patience, creativity, communication, and ability to connect with each child. I've also babysat my nephews and niece since they were babies and toddlers, and my oldest nephew is now 16, giving me years of hands-on experience with children at many stages. I'm CPR and First Aid certified and would describe myself as patient, dependable, caring, creative, attentive, and responsible. I love helping kids feel safe, supported, and comfortable while giving parents peace of mind.
