About Kya

I have always had a passion for working with children, and am building a career around how to improve and rethink early childhood education. I recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology with a focus on child, youth, and family studies. I plan to further my education and participate in developmental psychological research, with a long term goal of using this research to improve early childhood education. I find building relationships with children comes naturally to me, and want to spend the next several years learning from children and building connections with them and their families. My experience is mainly from working in child care centers, but now I wish to have a more personal experience with children and their families. I value community, and believe that children learn and thrive through the many relationships they make. I hope to work with a family that shares these values.
