I have learned a lot about caregiving via my Mom. I currently still care for her, but would like to get to know other people needing similar care. I come from a process improvement background. I want to share what I've learned with others and also learn from others. My goal is not to become the sole caregiver for one client. I will provide four hours of care maybe once a month or biweekly to share caregiving process improvement ideas. The caregivers I have for my mom are great, but I see room for process improvement. For example, for bedbound patients I believe you must have two caregivers for a safe and comfortable caretaking experience for all involved. I believe plans need to be developed and posted for medication, for hygiene, for nutrition, for environmental cleanliness, for transfers. I can help with those things and help with making the regular caregivers much more effective. I look forward to becoming a trusted, supportive presence in your family's life.
