About Krysten

I have always been drawn to kids energy and curiosity. Since I was old enough to start babysitting I've watched many children ranging in age from infants to 12 years old. I've also watched kids in foster care and worked with kids with special needs. In spring of 2020 my family relocated and I had to leave my last career position as Youth Development Supervisor, where I oversaw licensed child care for up to 150 kids ages 5-12. I enjoy both active activities like going to the park, playing catch, or hiking, as well as more sedentary activities like board games, puzzles, and crafts. I enjoy building off of a child's imagination and helping them learn through play. I enjoy taking kids to the library and parks. Of course while having fun, I keep safety in mind and am CPR/first aid certified. I understand each family has their set of rules and I have no problem firmly enforcing them. I do have three girls of my own and would need to bring my 1. 5-year-old and sometimes 3-year-old with.
