I was blessed to have a younger brother who had a slight learning disability when he was growing up. As his older sister, I felt it was my duty to make sure I modified things so that he could understand everything. This experience opened up my eyes to a greater calling to help people of all ages with all types of developmental disabilities. This passion has lead me so far to become a Special Education Teacher's Assistant, where I work with school age children of various handicaps such as Autism, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, visual and hearing impairments, and mental challenges. I am currently working on advancing to become a full-time NYC Special Education Teacher, and it is my goal to open my own facility for this particular population one day. I feel that I have a special connection and high level of understanding when I work with this group and I can truly say that I love what I do. I would love to meet with you and impart my compassion and experience. Thank you for reading.
