Do not hesitate in calling this duo. I called Kristy at last minute, Friday, December 30, 2011. She came immediately to meet with my mother, her weekday caregiver (Kelsi M.-who is on this website too and she is great), and myself. She fit right in and I immediately knew she would work out. Her daughter, Skye was a special bonus. My mother is very picky she was crying because she was so afraid of my being away and nervous about having someone new. And honestly she was pretty uncomfortable having a child be part of the deal. She likes to have all the attention. I believe she was afraid that Skye would get more attention. THAT WAS THE FARTHEST THING FROM THE TRUTH!! She loved Skye. They talked, watched movies and looked at books together, my mother was surprised how well behaved and sweet Skye was. (and the next morning when I brought my mother her breakfast, I noticed there was a tray with a napkin and spoon neatly put on it in the kitchen. She told me that Skye would do that for her. And she loved Kristy too. Who without hesitation when I asked her, stayed a few hours on Friday night so I could catch my plane without worry. She was here at the house more hours than we initially thought. Mostly because my mother wanted her longer!! I can only tell you that my mother has thrown out many a VNA (she loves her PT and Nurse from there by the way) therapist and care giver because she didn't like them. Though I would hate not to have Kristy and Skye available again when I call, I highly recommend them.
