I am looking for temporary caregiving/childcare work while my current client is in the hospital. He's expected to be there until the 1st of December. I have many years of experience as a nanny, preschool teacher, and caregiver. I am a CNA, but my hands-on experience and knowledge go well beyond typical CNA training. I have extensive experience caring for children with complex medical needs, including ventilators, G/J tubes, and tracheostomies. I also have experience with oxygen, personal care, and medication assistance. I spent several years raising a deaf child and have a pretty good understanding of ASL. I also have experience with elder care, including personal care, companionship, and early memory loss. I am knowledgeable about food allergies and the precautions they require. I am open to elder care, special needs care, and childcare. While I am comfortable caring for individuals with complex medical needs, I do not feel I am a good option for severe behavioral challenges.
