About Kristyleigh

Hello. My name is Kristy, and I am a licensed English teacher with years of experience teaching middle and high school as well as college-level writing and reading. I currently teach 8th grade English in VA and specialize in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, study skills, and test preparation. I hold multiple advanced degrees in education and am currently pursuing my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. I have extensive experience helping students who struggle with reading and writing, including students with learning differences, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges. I believe every child can grow with patience, encouragement, structure, and the right support.
