About Kristl

Kristl was my elderly mother's care taker for the last two years of Mom's life. Mom was determined to remain in her home even though she was in her upper 90's and was having increasing problems caring for herself. Mom had mobility issues which made taking care of herself and her home more and more difficult which lead Mom to finally, reluctantly accept that she needed to have more assistance than family and friends could provide. We were blessed that Kristl came into our lives. She and Mom became friends as Mom became more comfortable with accepting help. From the light housekeeping and errands that Kristl began doing for and with Mom Kristl's duties expanded to helping Mom bathe and dress, grocery shop. She also assisted Mom cooking, took Mom to medical appointments and eventually went into the appointments to advocate and make notes of instructions. Kristl helped Mom decorate for the holidays, helped plant flowers in the spring and care for them over the summer. She kept Mom alert and connected with the world. Without Kristl Mom would have not had the quality of life she enjoyed those last two years and I am certain Mom would have passed away much sooner
