About Kristi

Hi! My name is Kristi, and I have over 15 years of experience in education and working with children. I currently teach with Huntsville City Schools and specialize in helping students build confidence and success in reading. I have training in structured literacy and research-based reading programs, including Reading Horizons Direct Instruction and the Susan Barton Reading Method. I also have experience supporting students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and other diverse learning needs. My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each child's individual needs. As both a teacher and mom of 26-year-old twins, I understand the importance of creating a supportive and positive learning environment where children feel comfortable and successful. I have a big heart, love to laugh, and truly enjoy helping students grow in confidence while developing strong reading skills. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my two dogs, Zoey and Ollie.
