About Kristin

Experience: 10 yrs

I have been working with children for over 25 years and I have my BA in Early Childhood Education. I have both professional classroom experience, as well as formal nanny experience with infants, toddlers, and newborns. I have been working full time as a professional nanny for over 14 years. I believe strongly in the importance of quality early childhood care and I encourage learning through developmentally appropriate play and discovery. My specialty is with infants and toddlers and I strive to encourage their key milestones of development. I am currently working with a wonderful family for the past 7 years. Both children are about to start school full time in Sept 2026, so I am ready to find my next long term family! I am a dedicated, enthusiast, and committed nanny, looking for another long term position. I am willing to do either full time with one family or split part time with 2 different families. I am also open to a nanny share as I have experience with twins and multiples.

Kristin joined our family when our daughter was just 12 weeks old - a time that can feel overwhelming for any new parent. From the very beginning, she was far more than a caregiver. She was a steady, reassuring presence, a trusted sounding board, and a source of comfort during those early days of motherhood. Over the years, she has truly become a member of our family, and it is difficult to imagine our daily lives without her. With a background in early childhood education and experience as a preschool teacher, Kristin brings a depth of knowledge and professionalism that is rare. She has always approached her role with intention, understanding the importance of each developmental stage and tailoring her care to support our children as they grow. She takes direction thoughtfully and consistently goes above and beyond - always keeping notes throughout the day so we can stay connected to what our children are learning, doing, and experiencing. Kristin has been instrumental in establishing routines and consistency, which have allowed our children to thrive. For two working parents, she has been our rock - especially during the uncertainty and challenges of COVID. Her dependability, communication, and unwavering presence gave us peace of mind during a time when it mattered most. Equally important to our family, Kristin has promoted a no-screen-time environment while she is with the children, prioritizing hands-on activities, outdoor play, reading, and creative engagement that foster learning and imagination. What sets Kristin apart most is the deep, genuine connection she has built with our children. She understands them on an individual level, anticipates their needs, and embraces them as if they were her own. We trust her completely - not only in our home, but also driving our children to activities, something that is incredibly important to us. Kristin brings joy and creativity into our children’s lives in ways both big and small. She has a special way of making every holiday memorable, often arriving with thoughtful crafts, new games, and activities. To this day, our children eagerly wait to see what might be in Kristin’s bag - a small but telling example of the excitement and warmth she brings into our home. One of the greatest testaments to her character is how others perceive her. Time and again, parents have approached us after seeing Kristin with our children at the park or at an activity, going out of their way to share how impressed they are with her attentiveness, kindness, and engagement. While we will miss Kristin more than words can express, we feel incredibly fortunate to have had her with our family for as long as we did - something we know is truly uncommon. Any family would be lucky to have her. She is dependable, nurturing, thoughtful, and exceptionally skilled at what she does.
