Hello! My name is Kristine and I have been elementary school teacher for 5 years. I recently moved to the Columbia area from Virginia and am interested in babysitting, nannying, or tutoring during the evenings or weekends. Whether or not you have a one time child care need or are looking for a regular tutor, I'd love to learn more. Spending time with children is a joy of mine. As a teacher, I have experience managing the education and social/emotional development of 30 children at a time. My educational philosophy is rooted in the science of reading and standards-aligned math instruction. Before becoming a teacher, I was a children's librarian for 3 years with the Pikes Peak Library District (in Colorado Springs) and nannied for families in the Chicago area. I am fully vaccinated.

Kristine is amazing with our toddler and infant! She engage both with educational play activities and encourages my toddler to use her imagination, be confident to try new things and be helpful to others. Kristine is prompt, friendly, and a natural caregiver and educator. 

We’ve used Kristine to babysit our 2 young children about 6-7 times (date nights, during the day, etc). She is mature, reliable, timely, a good communicator, and responsible. We highly recommend her for other families. 

Kristine is great! The kids love when she babysits and she was on time and even had the kiddos clean up toys toward the end which was a bonus. Would recommend!

I was having a really hard time finding a nanny. My baby was only 6 weeks old when I intended on returning to work, and as a NEW mom, I was having major anxiety  leaving my infant daughter here with a stranger. I interviewed several people and was just not feeling good about any of them at all. I even debated quitting my job. However, once Kristine and I chatted, I KNEW instantly she was going to take great care of my sweet baby. She was amazing with her, and I felt at ease leaving her with my baby and in my home. She was also amazing with my insane animals. I would vouch for her any day, and I hope to alleviate any other worried mom's mind if you should be so lucky to have her care for your child.

Kristine watched my young daughter on multiple occasions and was wonderful with her. Kristine is a great babysitter and I would recommend her to any family that needs some assistance.

Kristine's experience as a teacher meant that my daughter was getting intellectual stimulation as well as having fun and staying safe. Kristine did everything she said she would, including keeping records of when my child ate, slept and got her diaper changed.

Kristine is absolutely amazing! She took care of our infant daughter in Denver, and there is no one that we trust more than her. We do not have any worries when she is watching our baby, since she keeps meticulous notes and sends us updates with pictures throughout the day and our baby is so happy When we drop her off and pick her up. We cannot say enough good things about Kristine and if she were to stay in Denver we would absolutely keep her 100%. Kristine has watched my two little ones from time to time and they love her! She is so upbeat and energetic, and loves to play. She is great at enforcing the guidelines we have in place as far as screen time, nutrition, napping, play schedules, etc. She is professional, friendly, and an absolutely trustworthy source of childcare.

Kristine interviewed with our family and she was very qualified for the job.  We needed someone with more flexibility in the evenings but she would make a great addition to your family.

Kristine has babysat my 3 year old niece on several occasions. I was VERY impressed with how well she interacts with her.  She is playful, imaginative, and very creative!  My niece is always excited to hear that Kristine is coming over.

Kristine babysat for our 2 boys when she still lived here in Sheldon, IA.  Our boys are now 6 & 4.  I am very very picky as to who I allow to watch my kids!  There is so much negativity out there & you just never know who to trust. I monitor possible babysitters at the pool, at the park, at the grocery store, etc.  I'm always paying attention as to who'd make a good sitter & who wouldn't. Both my husband and myself and our 2 boys fell in love with Kristine from the beginning!  She was always on time, she played with them, read them books, fed them their bedtime snacks, and the house was always as neat & picked up as when we left it.  I trusted her to take the boys on bike rides, to the park, on walks, etc. We also have a 9 year old Chocolate Lab & she was so good with her as well. Because I'm so picky as to who watches our boys my husband & I don't get to go on many dates so I looked forward to Kristine coming home on breaks so that she could watch them. I would highly highly recommend Kristine to anyone!  Anyone who gets her as a nanny is a very lucky family.  I'm sure she'll become like family to them!
