I'm a compassionate, thoughtful Maryland Licensed LPN (who also graduated with a BA from Smith College) who is available to work as a caregiver in your home. I truly excel at being a good listener as well as being highly competent. I have experience with Parkinson's, dementia care and I am particularly skilled at working with clients at the end of life (I am a certified Hospice and Palliative Care LPN). I have provided all aspects of care including medication administration, nutrition, continence care, ADLs, pressure ulcer management, respiratory management and ongoing emotional and spiritual support to patients and families. I have superb references and years of caregiving experience (live-in as well as live-out). I am skilled at finding resourceful ways to foster independence and provide for safety.
I met Kristin about 4 years ago,, when she was a brand new nursing student and since then Kristin has been doing childcare for my son, a high-needs young boy. I found Kristin able to engage my son (now 9) and get him through his night routine (dinner, homework, viola practice, bed/bath routine) dependably and regularly which made things much easier for me. My son adores her, appreciates the way she relates to him, plays with him, talks about Legos and technology. She's his favorite sitter, bar none. Kristin also has an amazing organizational skill and has been instrumental in helping me organize and develop systems for my home. She has also help me with going through things after my mom passed, never judging and consistently supportive during difficult tasks. Kristin has transformed my home processes and I am tickled. Her techie skills have been greatly helpful for me too. Kristin has a pleasant, cheery disposition which is a pleasure to be around. Most of all, she has integrity of the highest order. I trust her completely. In addition, she has a large sense of responsibility and will go out of her way to find ways to be helpful. I found her to be an earnest worker and would recommend her without reservation.
