Experience: 10 yrs
I worked in a Montessori school for 3 years as a teachers assistant and I was a nanny for 8 years and I'm currently a nanny in downers grove ( is taking care of my a 4-year-old boy and 6-year-old boy Monday through Friday from 8-5pm)but my job is ending in two weeks and looking for a job ASAP to bring my daughter with me because I home school her. I have excellent references and I would do play dates, zoos, museums, Morton arboretum, story time, baking, arts and crafts, library's and parks. I would make breakfast , lunch and snacks for the kids, tidy up play areas , tidy up kitchen and dishes , throw out trash , sweep, do kids laundry and sometimes doing errands.
Kristina worked for my wife and I as our nanny for 3 years or so. We had a great experience with her… she was energetic (always outside with the kids and/or actively playing & teaching them), responsible and caring. She treated my two sons (J, now 4 years old and A, now 6 years old) like her own. She is fair and caring (and would do a great job of talking through why they shouldn’t do something they weren’t supposed to so that they would understand and grow). I quickly came to think of Kristina as part of our family after only a few short months. She taught both of my sons’ responsibility, patience, and kindness. She was happy to assist with potty training, schoolwork, taking the kids to swimming lessons/other activities, and keeping the house tidy (dishes, laundry, vacuuming, etc). Kristina was also very communicative, calling or texting with important questions or to share a quick picture/video. And she also took direction well too. At one point my wife was unable to receive Kristina’s phone calls at work - so my wife asked her to text her instead, unless an emergency. She quickly adjusted to this approach. Additionally my son J is allergic to peanuts, pollen, and cats - and though Kristina had prior knowledge of how to use an epi pen she also quickly became knowledgeable about how to keep him safe, learning the symptoms of a reaction. She called me and my wife twice when she noticed redness or hives. Both times were luckily mild reactions and she administered Benadryl and watched him closely, keeping us informed. This put us at ease greatly. All in all, I would recommend Kristina to anyone. She is a sweet and compassionate caregiver!
