I have been working in human services since 2000. I began with geriatric care and have extensive experience with individuals with Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's and Stroke care. I transitioned into special needs care and have become a Medication Administration Trainer through the Department of Human Services. I am First Aid and CPR certified as well as Diabetes certified. I have worked with a broad range of clients including clients with hoarding behaviors, Down Syndrome, CP and non verbal/ non ambulatory clients. I have worked closely with clients that have Autism and behaviors. I have been an advocate for clients and families and have assisted with the treatment plans for the clients. I have a passion for human services and helping people to live as independently and as happy as they can for as long as they can. When looking to hire someone, twenty years ago, to care for my husband in our home while I was at work, I was searching for an honest trustworthy individual. This person had to be acceptable to him also because she would be giving full attention to his the daily needs. I looked for someone that had health care knowledge and experience. I interviewed Kristina and as we talked and learned things about each other I had the feeling she would be the right person for the job, it would be a good fit.
